A few weeks back we were lucky enough to be joined by SDX live in studio for what was gonna be an acoustic set. A guitar was forgot and so we were treated the most driving quietest SDX song ever. Seeing Sweet Dog playing with brushes could be the coolest thing we’ve seen in awhile.

The Supreme Gents are Oxford , Tuscaloosa mash up that blurs a line between Garage rock and soul, with both styles showing up in this tune. The Gents feature Wiley and the Checkmates emcee/percussionist Matty Crockett on vocals backed by the Checkmates’ rhythm section. For those not in the know about Wiley and the Checkmates well your missing out, that bring the soul party check it out here . The rhythm section section durning this included none other then the midnight mayor of Tuscaloosa himself “SweetDog” and his Partner in crime J.D. Mark. J.D is one of the busiest players in the south with his fingers in many pies. He has been a part of many great bands from the south and has even toured as the bassist for LCD sound system. He also runs Pickmark Records with Sweetdog. If you think your ready for some gritty Garage soul this is the band for you.
