Presenting The 20th Anniversary Showing of Groundhog Day

In 1992, a classic film was released to the masses, and it featured one of Well That’s Cool’s favorite actors… none other than Bill Murray. We are, of course, talking about the movie “Groundhog Day”. To celebrate the 20th anniverary of this classic, we are putting on a special screening of the film at the historic Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa!

When is this happening, you ask? Groundhog Day (February 2nd, 2013) of course!

That’s right… once the actual Groundhog does his business and decides whether or not winter will be sticking around, head to the Bama Theatre and join us for the screening. Doors the night of February 2nd will open at 5:30 P.M. and the movie will start at 6:30 P.M.

Tickets are $7.50 (plus service charge) in advance via Brown Paper Tickets. You can go to this link http://wtcgroundhogday.brownpapertickets.com to purchase them. Tickets for $10 will also be available at the door of the Bama Theatre the day of the event.

We at Well That’s Cool don’t believe in just showing the film. We’re going to be making this a fun event for all, complete with a costume contest! Come dressed as your favorite Bill Murray for a chance to win some great prizes. It doesn’t even have to be tied to Groundhog Day. You can come dressed as Peter Venkman, Carl Spackler, or any other of Bill Murray’s fantastic characters. Drink specials will also be available throughout the night, and we’ve also heard that those wonderful people at Druid City Brewing will be bringing a special brew for the festivities!

This event will be sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor’s society at The University of Alabama and The Tuscaloosa Arts Council. Speaking of sponsors – this event will be a lead in to the show by our friends at The Pink Box Burlesque directly afterwards that evening at Green Bar. Talk about a fantastic Saturday night!

Mark your calendars now! For more information or press inquiries – please contact us at info@wellthatscool.com
