Crushing Cancer

    As you can see, Egans was packed out: the numbers are in and it is amazing. Thanks to The Dexateens, Model Citizen, Carroll County Picture show and YOU - $2,600 was raised last Friday night to help Crush Cancer and help out Brian Rogers of the The Penetrators.

    That's off the charts and way more than what was expected to be made. Egans is not that big of a place, even with all the bar stools removed.    Some people around town were made un-easy by the idea of Egans charging a cover. But it all came together. It was the first time I have payed a cover and not heard some one once I'm inside bitching about the price. There must be a lot of people around Tuscaloosa with new Dexateens shirts; I saw a lot of people paying the $20 and not just the $10.

    Don't forget to come and see Spanky Twangler and The Penetrators play this Friday night at Egans after the A-Day game. Come out and watch surf rock greatness with one of the best bands the genre has to offer. It is amazing that The Penetrators are playing this date don't miss it!
