Egans, the best Rock and Roll beer bar in West Alabama, is quickly becoming home to the best selection of beer at a bar in Alabama.
Our own Bo Hicks was in attendance at Egans and gave Mark Hughes Cobb of the Tuscaloosa News the low down on Free The Hops and some beer tasting hints while drinking the great newly freed beer.

At the meeting there was tapped a Hades Ale, Belgian Strong Pale Ale and a Hercules Double IPA from Great Divide. There is also now Yeti, Denver Pale Ale, the Hercules Double IPA and many other Great Divide in the bottle.
Free the Hops is now working on container size, blue laws, or many of the other problems that keep us from enjoying to the fullest all the great beers the world has to offer.

Membership in Free The Hops is only  $25 and includes a t-shirt. The meetings are for members or those interested in joining FTH (you do not have to be a current member to attend the meeting). The primary objective is to socialize and drink beer with like-minded folks, but we also discuss and plan upcoming events and fundraisers.
As Herman Blume once said, "Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it."
