Announcing the 12th Annual Asses of Fire Chili Cook-off
It’s that wonderful time of the year! The time where the weather gets colder, and we all gather at Egan’s Bar in Tuscaloosa on a Saturday afternoon to partake in numerous offerings of chili.
That’s right…
It’s time for the 12th Annual Asses of Fire Chili Cook-off!
This year’s festivities will take place on Saturday, February 9th at Egan’s Bar right on The Strip in Tuscaloosa. Registration will begin at 2:00 P.M. and last until 3:45. Judging will begin at 4:15.
There is no entry fee so start planning and executing your perfect pot of chili. Are you going to go for taste? Are you going to go for creativity? Or are you going to go for just making everyone suffer with the hottest stuff imaginable?
We want to find out! You can also be eligible to win some fantastic cash prizes if you impress the judges.
For those who aren’t up for crafting the perfect batch of chili, don’t fret. You can enjoy all the offerings (and then suffer afterwards) for a $5 charge. People who enter a batch of chili, though, will get to eat for free.
Egan’s will be running drink specials all day for those who attend. Mark your calendars now and plan on setting the asses of Tuscaloosa a blaze.
